“Keep Moving”
Our client Mrs Lorna Lauchlan will soon turn 87 years old, and looks amazing. Her motto is “keep moving” even when you don’t feel like it. Lorna has been a member of the Masters Athletic Club since 1979. She certainly lives up to her motto, and still walks 5kms a day at least 5 days a week around Perry Lakes/Lake Claremont and has no plans to change her exercise program.
Lorna has a proud record in Masters Athletics after competing all over the world. She competed at World Masters events in Brisbane, Melbourne, New Zealand, France, UK and the USA. She won 2 Gold medals in France, and Silver and 2 Bronze medals In the USA. Sadly before the World Masters in Perth in 2016 Lorna had a fall while in Sydney, suffered concussion and broke a bone in her hand. Much to her disappointment she was unable to compete in Perth.
Lorna has competed in many state events and at different times has held WA State Titles for the 10km race walk, the 5km race walk and the 1500 metre race walk.
Lorna is an inspiration to us all and we salute her.
