SIDS & Kids WA – Sunshine Beach Run

Smith Wealth Partners is proud to support family friend Chris Perkin and SIDS & Kids WA by participating in a fun run event on February 12.

The Sunshine Beach Run, which aims to assist those who have been tragically affected by Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, is an initiative of West Coast Eagles physiotherapist Chris Perkin in memory of his unborn baby Jake and wife Cindy who passed away in 2009. The staff at Smith Wealth and their families are participating in the event and you can donate to our team by clicking here.

Since the SIDS risk reduction campaigns began in 1991, SIDS and Kids has managed to save an estimated 6,561 babies lives. Despite this there are many babies that have not been so fortunate. In 2008, there were 130 infants less than 1 year of age that died suddenly and unexpectedly, with 59 of these being victims of SIDS. While in 2007, there were 2,177 stillbirths. Through fundraising we raise money to fund SIDS and stillbirth research, education and counselling. SIDS and Kids Western Australia need your help to save babies lives and to provide support to grieving families.
